Calaveras Big Trees State Park is located in the Sierra Nevada in northern California. The park encompasses two groves of giant sequoia trees, which are the largest living things on earth. The trees can live over 3000 years and grow up to 300 feet tall and 40 feet in diameter. It was incredible to see these trees in person. The photos don't do them justice. Groves of giant sequoias are also found in Yosemite National Park and Kings Canyon & Sequoia National Parks.
